However, ours are made to be sturdy enough to keep in the garden if you wish, yet they look equally as attractive used at functions inside marquees or at outdoor events such as festivals and parties. The outside of the natural cotton that we use is coated in a specially made glue that makes them water resistant for use outside. The bamboo is specially treated so that your Japanese umbrella can be kept for years.
