Our Umbrellas are hand made using traditional techniques, individually hand painted and with very strong green credentials. Unique to the European market in the Home and Garden sector.

We have a range of centre umbrellas suitable for rattan and wooden furniture sets. Ideal for the centre piece of your outdoor space.
Materials & Construction
Our products are manufactured in the Far East by our supplier; we are the sole UK importer.
The umbrellas have a hardwood frame and hardwood ribs (arms) made from sustainable teak, the surface is made of pure cotton cloth. The cloth is prepared with an outside layer of pine oil, wax and other traditional glue coatings, making the Garden Parasols water resistant. The glue is made from the seeds of a fruit, traditionally used to ensure that the cloth remains hard and strong for long time.
The traditional method used to ensure long-term reliability and flexibility of the wood is to sink the raw materials into mud for one year before commencing the production process.
A cotton weave is used under the canopy to provide an interesting and bespoke look. The weave can be either black or multi coloured. The details of each umbrella state the type used for that particular Patio umbrella.
The Pole
The Pole is made from two pieces making storage easier. It can be made of either bamboo or sustainable teak, painted black or brown, again each umbrellas specification states the type used. The diameter of the pole has been designed to fit most standard umbrella stands.
The Shapes
The outdoor garden parasols and sun umbrellas are available in many shapes, circular, square umbrellas and six sided patio umbrellas (Hexagonal umbrella).
Sizes
We are currently selling 6 and 8 Foot diam but we can also supply 9 and 10 foot as well, although they are made to order with a ten week delivery.
After Care
They should be stored in the dry in the winter / rainy season. In the summer they should be cleaned with a damp cloth every few weeks to stop any build up of dust and dirt.
Due to the bespoke and handmade nature of our products, some patterns and colours could vary slightly from those shown on the Oriental Umbrellas web site.
Other Designs
Apart from the ones shown here on our site, most bespoke designs can be accommodated (ten weeks order time), such as, company logos and individual designs and colour.
